Extended OC Tutorial

Description

This is a bit of a rant on people who have a hundred OCs but they all look the same, to the extent that the male characters look almost exactly like the female characters. I know my characters aren't the most original out there but at least THEY DON'T ALL LOOK THE FREAKING SAME >8C

One way to easily lose that cookie cutter look is to vary the pose/body language of your characters. Don't tell the audience that your character is a punk and could beat you up in a fight but make her pose like a timid little schoolgirl. Srsly.

Don't TELL the audience what your character is like, SHOW them.

The next part is going to be a rant on unoriginal anthro characters, woo.

Oh, and for the "real artists" thing, that is just my personal definition of an artist. If you like to draw/paint/make music/whatever but don't want to improve, you're a hobbyist. You do it for fun, but you can't see it as a career, you're a hobbyist. If you like to draw/paint/make music/whatever, want to improve, and can see it as a career, you're an artist. Again, just my personal definition.

like it, really it is surprising how clear you can tell it all with just this!
